The hot box is the best way to wax a new pair of skis. Once you have purchased your new skis the base are new and freshly ground from the factory. Now is they need to be waxed but, the hot box takes it a step further. Its like a sauna for the skis. First, the skis are waxed then immediately put in the hot box for 8 hours at 130 degrees. This warming of the ski opens the pours in the base to allow deeper penetration of wax into the ski. Once the ski cooled we scrape and bush the ski. Now you ready to go.
